Rusty Bay spent several
months of 2008 at Orchard Sound Studio in Big Cove making our second
CD. The new CD, "Gotta Travel On", is now available. It contains original, covered and traditional songs. One of the original songs, "Pickle Factory", by Jerry McGough, was a 2008 MOVA 1st place winner. Both Diane Miller and John Abbott have also written songs featured on the CD. RUSTY BAY is a four piece acoustic string band whose members include Lori McGough, bass; Diane Miller, guitar; Jerry McGough, banjo and John Abbott, guitar. Our musical style is traditional bluegrass, folk, and gospel. Current popular tunes in this style are also covered and occasionally an original tune is added. The band emphasizes strong rhythm along with two and three part vocal harmony. We play at coffeehouses, festivals, and fundraisers in North Alabama and Southern Tennessee.
